Ball hit box overlay and Ready sound in voice for GSPro

If you can't show the Square ball placement in GSPRO, at least showing the ball ready indicator on the tee box would be cool.  Definitely need the ball ready ding or “Ready” audio option in the official gspro connector.

The ball ready indicator is already present in GSPro. The double bracket around the ball turns green from grey when ready. It also dings when ready. What I'm suggesting is the voice prompt and overlay.

I'll have to go back and check the official GSPRO connector.  I did not hear a ding and honestly did not look for the ready indicator on the tee box.  Being able to select a ding or “Ready” would be cool.  Overlay would be cool, but as long as I know where the area is on my mat I can function just fine.

I just loaded the official Square connector and loaded up a course and I did not see the bracket change color or hear and audible ding.  What am I missing?

I did get a green light on the square unit.

Then check your GSPro settings under Visual Settings and make sure ‘show ball ready indicator’ is turned on. If you dont see that option, make sure gspro is up to date. As for the ding, check settings tab in connector.

For clarity, though this indicator may satisfy many, I found that Skytrak LM have shown different results depending on where the ball was placed because of the fixed visibility area of the camera. If higher ball launch angle is expected then placing the ball more towards the screen (in perspective of right-handed) is better because then the ball can't fly over the visibility area. In contrast, placing the ball away from the screen for putting gives more time for data. I'd imagine same can be said for all side mounted camera based monitors.

SQLM may be different and perhaps only need data during the impact and dont care about ball path as much but given how accurate SQLM can be, I want to believe the ball placement is important and minimize no-reads. I definitely want to make sure i place the tee in the middle for the driver. And since the unit is not fixed in place, having the placement box overlay can help, especially for the new and visiting players.

Are you using OpenApi connector or the Square Connector. Only the OpenApi connector has an audio setting.  Or so, I thought.

I will check the ready indicator setting in gspro.

OpenAPI. There are too many features not available (yet?) in the official connector. I just don't see the reason to switch yet. In fact, I think the official connector is more bothersome due to missing alignment ability unless they figure out auto alignment.

Agreed.  Thanks for your input, Steve.
