Very happy with my Square Golf Launch Monitor
Seeing several negative posts surprises me. I have had my Square Launch Monitor for almost a year and have been extremely satisfied with everything about it. I have owned a couple of other sub $1000 launch monitors (Garmin R10, Flightscope Mevo+) and this is by far the best of these. The use of cameras instead of radar for indoor simulator use is the main reason.
I did experience some initial setup issue with ball placement and getting the device to consistently detect the ball. I reached out to Square, and true to what others are saying, they are terrible at getting back to you if at all … but I was able to figure out a solution on my own! Let me know if you are having the same problem and I will give you an easy fix!
Since then, I have had zero issues and the performance is 95% as good as all of my friends who have setups that include launch monitors anywhere for $3000 to $30,000. About that 5% … it is not due to lack of accuracy or usability, but simply a lack of some of the data (which I am sure Square could add to their software at some point in the future) and the requirement to use Taylormade Pix balls or the Square golf balls (I play Titleist Pro V1x on the course).
I already see that they have added a lot more data to the software available for their new device that is coming out in March 2026. Hopefully some of these software upgrades will be available for the original device with future software updates.
Oh and very important!!! Back when I purchased my device, protective enclosures were not available. So I improvised with a few solutions that were terrible so I used my device without any protection. Fortunately, I never experienced a catastrophe. Since then, I have purchased a protective enclosure, works great and a must have if you own this device!
